Dennis is a native of central Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Elizabethtown College. He has been a serious fine art photographer all his life and has done professional aerial photography for over 25 years. Dennis has served as an Air Force Officer and pilot for over thirteen years and holds a commercial, multi engine pilots rating with instrument qualification and over 2200 hours of flight time including extensive formation experience. Dennis' multi engine experience includes the Super Constellation C-121, C-130s and jet experience in the T-38. Dennis has had a life long interest in aviation and particularly WWII aircraft since his father Warren flew 22 missions in B-17s in WWII. Dennis has presented his photographic work regionally, in many one man shows. Dennis has conducted major photographic projects in India, Russia, Moldova, China, Romania and South Africa. Dennis is currently working on "The Cathedral Project" photographing the historic Eastern State Penitentiary. Dennis has also completed a photographic essay on children living in orphanages in Russia and Moldova as well as children living in hidden societies in the underground of Bucharest Romania. Dennis is an accomplished fine art, commercial, aerial, and portrait photographer and has studied with Joyce Tennyson, Connie Imboden and Arnold Newman. Dennis was recently selected to do the official portrait of Bishop Kevin Rhoades of the Diocese of Harrisburg. Dennis is co founder and President of Keystone Human Services. Dennis also has the privilege of serving in many leadership and volunteer positions in both community and professional organizations. Dennis is a founding board member and Past President of the Open Stage of Harrisburg, immediate Past President of The Susquehanna Art Museum, Board Member of Wachovia Bank's Regional Advisory Board, current Board Chairman of Pennsylvania Association of Resources - Intellectual Disabilities and Autism, Federal Council Member of FICE-International, President of FICE-USA and a 2007 member of the Clinton Global Initiative. |
